Should I Be Afraid?

It appears at times the world has gone crazy. Some have lost jobs, retirement accounts have been affected, and the world is on edge. Many are filled with fear, confusion, anger, and an array of emotions. God’s Word offers hope for those who know Christ personally. The Psalmist stated in Psalm 56:3, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” Paul the Apostle expressed to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Why Would God Allow This?

There are many things beyond the limited mind of mankind. We can never fully grasp the ways and working of God. We live in a sinful world. Since the fall of man, many negative and difficult things happen. There are some truths that we can cling to in times such as these.

God is still God. He’s always God. He is always just and right. He promises to work all things together for good to those that love Him. Even when we don’t understand He is still on His throne, moving things in the world to accomplish His purpose.

Is This The End Times?

Many are asking if we are in the end times right now. Curiosity in end time Biblical prophecies is rising. We know that Jesus is coming back for those that have truly received Him. We call this event the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). The Bible tells us that no man knows when this event will take place.

It is very evident that our world is experiencing something unusual. It does appear that things are shaping up to prepare for the Coming of Christ. We might call this time birth pangs (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). We cannot predict when Jesus will come for His children, but we can say with certainty that He will come. This should be a challenge to prepare us.
